Talk about overreaction! The parents' probably have had their kids walk in on them during sex at some point. That is, unless they're either very quiet, don't do it anymore or never do it in the house. It's not that uncommon, as most kids sleep very lightly and tend to head for their parents' bedroom when waking from a disturbance or from having a bad dream. Depending on the child, they might not even make themselves known; but to coldly assume that children seeing sex is bad and hurtful is going a bit far, don't you think?

Families have shared livingspace in the same room for thousands of years, so it's not like it's unheard of for children to be witness to lovemaking. Granted, from what we discerned in this video, the content seemed to be of a different kind; but the issue of having "the big talk" as it were, seems to be a bit of a cultural thing.
Unless you shy away from the subject altogether and postpone it for as long as possible, there really isn't the same need for a thorough explanation of things. Kids find out stuff for themselves, and they will ask questions about kissing, holding hands, hugging and all that stuff from a very early age. Those are all good segways, as is the inevitable "where do babies come from" question. These people should try and give themselves and their kids more credit for being able to grasp and handle one of the most natural of human expressions of love.
